The Rise and Fall of Rome
How Did Rome Expand?
Rome expanded, Rome expanded by conquering other land, and by exploring. They sent out people to explore, and when they found new land, they harvested and build on it, (if it was good for that). They could also send out solders to conquer neighbors. When Julius Caesar took control he conquered Gaul then he conquered almost all of the land around the Mediterranean giving Rome full control of the Mediterranean.
How Did The Geography Help The Earlier Founding Of Rome?
The geography of Rome helped a lot! The many hills kept Rome safe, so while they were weak, and starting to build a civilization they were protected. Rome's geographical location was good for defense, trade, and travel.
Who were the major contributors to the rise of rome?
The main contributors were Romulus because he discovered Rome. Another contributor is Julius Caesar he was the one one who made rome grow vastly, he conquered all the land around the Mediterranean. Here's a bit on the beginning of Rome: Back then two twins were fighting for land they were Romulus and Remus. Romulus killed Remus and Romulus traced Romeʼs boundaries around a hill called Palatine Hill and he became king. He ruled until his small city of rome was conquered by Etruscans in 600s B.C but then the Romans overthrew Etruscans in 509 B.C. giving possession back to the romans.
What factors brought the fall of Rome?
After Julias Caesar died Rome fell into chaos, many things brought the fall of Rome, here are some:
* The Empire became too large to govern efficiently.
* Rich people became lazy, and stopped trying to fix Rome's problems.
* Emperers were often selected by birth, and were instead, not selected because they worked well with people, and/or governed well.
* Prices raised, and trading decreased.
* The Empire and the population started shrinking, due to starvation and barbarian tribes.
As you can see, Rome was definitely going out of control. If people had taken charge, it could, possibly still be here today. That proves that everyone, has to do their part, and work together to keep civilizations going. Every one is like a link in a chain, you need every link to keep the chain together.
